The Overland Trail Museum is located in Fort Davis , Texas.    The museum's hours are somewhat limited.  See this Fort Davis web site for location and hours of operation.

This is a great museum with a broad collection covering life in and around Fort Davis for the past 150 years.  The guy running the museum is very knowledgeable about the area and the collection.  I'm sorry I didn't get his name.   He is pictured in the bottom right hand picture.  Plan to spend an hour looking at the stuff and an hour talking the museum curator. The conversation is good and the museum collection provides lots to talk about.

The mannequin in the bottom right hand picture is definitely having a bad hair day.   Click on the image to get a larger picture.  It is totally weird.
